Drive up and hike to the splendid Inca ruins of Pisac at 3,250 metres (10,654 feet), a large complex of religious temples, housing areas, agricultural terraces, cliff-hanging paths and astronomic observatories. Afterwards, visit the village of Pisac to shop at the local handicraft market. Lunch at Tunupa del Valle Restaurant in Urubamba, followed by a tour of the town and fortress of Ollantaytambo, the last living Inca town. Accommodation in Valle Sagrado in Urubamba.
Buffet breakfast. Transfer to the Ollantaytambo station. A scenic, 1 hour 30 minute train trip through the Urubamba Valley, followed by a 30-minute bus ride up to the breathtaking Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Guided tour through the ruins.
After lunch at Belmond Sanctuary Lodge, free afternoon to explore the ruins. Dinner and overnight at your Machu Picchu hotel.
Buffet breakfast. Free morning to visit and enjoy the ancient citadel on your own. In the afternoon, return to Ollantaytambo by train and transfer to your hotel.

In the morning, tour of the city including the "Plaza de Armas", the Cathedral and Santo Domingo Church (Koricancha), followed by a visit of the surrounding ruins of Puka Pukara, Kenko, Tampu Machay, and the renowned fortress and religious site of Sacsayhuaman, famous for its cosmic energy.
