EcoCamp Patagonia is situated in the very heart of Torres del Paine National Park and provides the region’s first fully sustainable accommodation, complete with green technology. You can enjoy guided treks and wildlife excursions by day and share evening meals with new friends before falling asleep gazing up at the star-filled sky through your dome ceiling. Standard Domes (10m2/108ft2). Guests staying in Standard Domes use a shared bathroom, for several environmental reasons, bathrooms are large, comfortable and gender divided. Showers with ample space, hotel water, composting toilets and wash basins. Towels are provided. Standard domes do not have electricity but cameras etc can be charged in the Community Domes. Voltage 220V. There is LED lighting throughout Ecocamp for ease of movement at night. Hand held flashlights are available on request. Singles policy means that Standard Dome accommodation works on a sharing basis with another traveller of the same gender. The sharing policy is followed to keep the number of domes to a minimum. Single guests may pay for sole occuapancy to avoid sharing.
Superior Domes (23m2/250ft2) are the optimum choice for trekkers wanting more space and comfort. They have heating, a private bathroom and a more spacious interior. Fall asleep looking up at the star-lit sky from your cozy bed. Queen size or twin beds, propane heater, private bathroom with a sophisticated composting toilet. Electricity inside the domes is very limited meaning hair-dryers are not permitted but cameras and laptops may be charged.
Suite Domes (28m2/300ft2) are built in the same shape as the ancient Kaweskar tribe dwellings. Their structure produces minimal environmental impact while providing an efficient thermal and wind resistant unit, with great exposure to nature in the most magnificent Patagonian setting. Guests can gaze at the stars through the ceiling windows while falling asleep each night after enjoying a spectacular sunset from their private terrace. Double or twin beds, private bathroom, low emission wood stove, state of the art composting toilet, propane heater in bathroom. Electricity is very limited meaning hair-dryers are not permitted but lap-tops and cameras can be charged. Enclosed porch to hang clothing.
Suite Domes with loft (37m2/398ft2). Two storey suite domes, sleeping up to four people with double or twin beds both up and downstairs. These domes are ideal for families or groups of friends. Private terrace, private bathroom with state of the art composting toilet, modern low-emission wood stove. Guests can gaze at the stars through the ceiling windows while falling asleep each night after enjoying a spectacular sunset from their private terrace. Enclosed porch to hang clothing. Propane heater in bathroom. Staircase leading up to loft.
All meals are served in the Community Domes with guests eating together at long tables. A sophisticated menu has been designed fusing Chilean, Altiplanic, Patagonian and international food. There are daily nature walks, treks and cycling led by local guides. Alternatively incorporate a stay at EcoCamp Patagonia into the stunning W Trek in Torres del Paine National Park. New for 2015/16 season is the Yoga dome, enjoy stretching and relaxing during the morning or evening sessions.
