A trip beyond the end of continental America sailing through the Straits of Magellan where mountains, fjords and glaciers meet - landscapes crowned by the sighting of incredible Humpback whales.
Whales & glaciers - the combination is magnificient. In literally pristine surroundings the guide will amaze you with history, geology, biology and even an ice lecture. Seeing how the southern tip of the South America continent emerges from the sea is indeed a truly great experience. The large number of currents that converge in these latitudes plus the mixture of the sea's temperatures and nutrients make this hidden corner of the world one of the most abundant concentrations of biodiversity which includes Humpback whales, penguins, seal lions and albatross, amongst others. Undoubtedly, the Humpback whales are the kings of this ecosystem but you will also be pleasantly surprised with the breathtaking landscapes that surround you. The only way to access the Francisco Coloane Marine Park is by sea so it is important to keep in mind that this navigation will make you feel the strength of the sea and the great temperance that the old and great explorers had.
