Highlight - Marvels of Magallanes

This trip takes you to the places in the Magallanes region of Patagonia that simply must not be missed!

On the first day you will visit the world-famous Mylodon Cave, the site of important archaeological and paleontological discoveries. Then continue onto Torres del Paine National Park. There you will take in the spectacular scenery of ice-covered mountains and lakes with unusual colors, along with a thundering waterfall and a enchanting walk along the shore of Lago Grey.

The next day you will take a boat trip through Ultima Esperanza Sound to see the Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers. Afterwards enjoy a barbeque lunch at a typical Chilean estancia.

The following day there is an option for another outdoor excursion or you can explore the town of Puerto Natales. From there you will travel to Punta Arenas.

The next day cross the legendary Straits of Magellan to reach the town of Porvenir in Tierra del Fuego, where a visit to the museum will provide historical background of the region. Then it's off to see the King penguins at the permanent colony of these impressive birds, the second largest penguins after the Emperors.

Alternatively, and if tour dates permit, you can enjoy a full days navigation to Francisco Coloane marine park to see Humpback whales.

Day 1: Arrival and welcome to Puerto Natales.

Transfer from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales in regular bus service. Arrive at the hotel of your choice.

Overnight in Puerto Natales.

Day 2: Excursion to Torres del Paine National Park 

Breakfast. Full day excursion to Torres del Paine National Park, entrance fee and lunch included.

Overnight in Puerto Natales.

Day 3:  Tour to Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers

Breakfast. Navigation to Balmaceda & Serrano glaciers. Traditional lunch in an 'Estancia'. Overnight in Puerto Natales.

Day 4: Day at leisure to explore Puerto Natales. Transfer to Punta Arenas by regular bus service.

Breakfast. Transfer from Puerto Natales to Punta Arenas.

Overnight at the hotel of your choice in Punta Arenas.

Day 5:  Excursion to Tierra del Fuego and the King penguin colony.

Alternatively a full-day navigation to see Humpback whales and glaciers.

Breakfast. Full day excursion to Tierra del Fuego and the King penguin park (lunch and entrance fee included). 

Alternatively (dates permitting): Breakfast. Full day navigation to Francisco Coloane Marine Park to view Humpback whales and glaciers.

Overnight in Punta Arenas.

Day 6: Goodbye Patagonia

Buffet breakfast. Transfer from your hotel to the airport.
